And we're in!!!

Yep! We are officially moved in, but in no way does that mean we are "settled in". It means all of our belongings are shifted to one side of the living room and we sleep on boxes. Our first night was January 2nd, which just so happened to be our 2nd anniversary. We thought that was pretty cool!

I apologize for the lack of updates. Do I even have to say, "I haven't had time"? Well, it's true... it's been absolutely CRAZY around here. A good kind of crazy of course. There are so many updates to share, I'll get started. Here we go!

Walls, ceilings, doors, and baseboardsare painted! I will say it again, "I LOVE the color!" I am usually absolutely horrible with colors but somehow, the first one I chose worked and I am so glad!

Wood laminate is down. Thanks to so many people who contributed to the very lengthy task!

Beadboard in bathroom is in and painted, thanks to my father-in-law! Tile was laid by my mother-in-law and lord only knows how bad it could have been if we didn't have her! Thanks Mrs. Tessy! Dad spent lots of time on the plumbing in the bathroom. Side note: Matt and I are blown away by what our dads know how to do. Ask them a question and chances are, they'll know how to do it! Dads are great! (And of course, moms too!)

Kitchen cabinet doors are on and painted. Dad borrowed a sprayer and he spent a whole day spraying the dang things. Spraying saved us loads of time and having them finished was like waking up on Christmas morning. So fun! Floors were laid by my cute husband and our friend, Daniel Hembree. Thanks Dan! The grout is in the process of being completed by none other than Tessy Unglesby. She's awesome! Countertops were done by husband, brother-in-law, Trey, Tessy, my mother, and I'm hopefully not forgetting anyone. Special thanks to Trey for cutting the tile and doing a fabulous job, (minus a few tiles) haha!
Appliances are in and working! Yippee! Bro-in-law, Tommy, brought his trailer and helped get them in. Big thanks to him! Backsplash has notbeen started because there are still some pretty major things that need to be done, like,OH! A sink! It's in but my plumber of a husband is still struggling with getting it all plugged in. Don't worry, he'll figure it out. :)

Well, that's it for now. Oh! Wait! Funny story. My sweet little brother was helping our heating & air guy in the attic, lost his balance, and boom! Leg goes through the living room ceiling! At the time, I didn't think it was funny. Being so close to having the living room finished and then walking in to this...
just wasn't something to laugh about at the time. My awesome pregnancy hormones almost had me in tears, but after awhile, I reminded myself of how insignificant ceilings really are in the grand scheme of life. :) Plus, Evan has been helping out so much around here! He is such a hard worker! We are very thankful for him and his big feet! :)

So, our living room has not been put together because we are waiting on the hole to be fixed. I'll have to post one soon when our living room is finished.

Oh oh oh oh..... I thought I was finished. This really is the last picture. I promise. It's pretty self-explanatory. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED ON THIS ROOM!

Thanks everyone! I'll post soon!
